Under current law, the 2026 election dates are as follows:

County Primary (TCA § 2-13-205) May 5, 2026

Regular August (TCA § 2-1-104) August 6, 2026

Regular November (TCA § 2-1-104) November 3, 2026

First day to pickup a petition to run for office in the November 3rd, 2026 Federal and State General and Sumner County Municipal is June 22nd with qualifying deadline  at NOON on August 20th, 2026 .  Additional details can be answered thru the factsheet for that election above.
